Our church recently contacted me and asked if I could build them two 9’ tall lifeguard chairs to use as decoration around the youth department building. The theme of the youth group is “Surf City”. They sent me some pictures of what they wanted and I went to work. It took me 3 days to build both chairs. Since these were for decoration only and were going to be around a lot of kids I designed them without a ladder to make it difficult to climb on. They are built from 2×4’s and 3/4” plywood.

kdc68, I live in San Diego, these things are used pretty much year round here. :) Glad it brought warm thoughts your way.

Nice looking. As kdc said, it brings a warm feeling especially as we are getting 3-6’’ of snow at the moment.

The design is simple but still efficient. I especialy like colours.
