This is a train table I made for my grandson for Christmas. It is made from poplar and features 2 plastic storage bins that slide on tracks underneath.

Looks very similar to the one I just built for my son this Christmas. Very nice job. I still need to put a finish on mine and I was wondering what you used for the green coating on the top.

Very nicely done. Don’t learn the hard way like I did. After my granddaughter fell into one of the corners on the table I made for her, I realized that the corners need foam padding.

Dave, it is just green latex paint I got from Home Depot. DBM, thanks for the tip. I have everything rounded over but I didn’t think about padding. He is a rambunctious little fella!
