My wife has fallen in love with the purpleheart wood since she was first introduced to it. It is made with yep, Purpleheart and Southern Black Cherry. Designs for a trestle table did not suit my taste, but I did want to do the legs of the same fashion. I tied the legs together by using what I call bridge rails that are notch fitted to the tops of the legs. seems to be plenty of strength and support. It is 44” x 104” and seats 12 bodies just fine.
