This was one of my first BIG client builds. 114” table of which the family wanted an outdoor table with unique
character. I developed a story that went with the table about a steam boat ferry captain on lake Erie (which I don’t even know if that exists) who met his wife at this very table on the boat….they were married and many years later the ship sank and the wife had kept the table from the ship early on and was her memory of her late husband. Too much discovery channel that month i’m thinking…..put the story on aged paper under the table and told the family…..”there’s one more surprise which you’ll have to find” they loved it.

The under carriage area were beams from a Pennsylvanian Barn which I flipped over and made it look like a Maritime type functioning device which is really does just pull on one side to the other mainly by the turnbuckle & rod system developed out of the necessity to actually “function” but it looks cool and is a great conversation piece.
