This is the first clock that I built. It was one of our assignment in my highschool cabinetmaking class.

You did a fine job on this one : ) Being a Mantle clock , I would have made a heavier / thicker base on it to help prevent tipping with that size clock in it .
Next time you might want to place your project on a contrasting surface so that the details will show up better….Way too much Oak in this picture. JMO
-- When did quiet and quite become the same word ? I'm guessing about the same time as your and you're did.
