Other people seem to make boxes, pens, or breadboards – I seem to make stools.
This is oak with oil finish.
I’ve been messing about with the “leather dye” thing recently, with varying degrees of success (ranging from “dog’s dinner” to “sand it off and start again”) – this was supposed to look “rustic”, rather than “a mess”. It looks slightly better in real life than the pictures might suggest. Design – quite like it, implementation – could do better. Angles are hard to do without a table saw (maybe santa is listening?).
In four months time when the weather improves I’ll now have a choice of 4 to sit on!

Very Nice!
Looks very strong and stable. You can never have too many places to sit!

A beautiful piece of furniture. Can you provide more information on joinery?

Joinery…
The top and cross piece is just glue (no end-grain involved).
The legs are glue & biscuit.

Neat little stool. I like the design.
Stools are useful around here since I have a 2 year old daughter. She likes to stand or sit on them.

I also like the design, stools get a lot of use at my house, I am short, my wife is short and the grand children will use them.
Thanks Ron
