Me and my wife got married in the end of August, asked a friend of mine to make us a our family tree, the Idea was mine, execution came from the artist. In the bottom there are us and we have additional branches for our kids – one of the branches will be filled in the spring. The picture was a long time coming, but it was worth it.

The design was based on TWW guild build of the G&G/japanese style frame. Left out the G&G embellishments because I am a simple man and it would have not suited our style. (plus – the inlays and plugs are a pain to make)

Took me a few days to complete it, but it was a quick and fun project. Made of some nice figured Oak I had earmarked for a special project. Good thing a Special project came along.

The symbol in the middle is an heartagram (heartogram) it has many different meanings attached to it. I go with 2 meanings: 1. The balance between good and evil, and life and death 2. Eternal love. I would hope that if our family tree has a healthy balance and love for eachother we’ll do just fine. :)

Very nicely designed and crafted.
