Actually, the Air Force has been auctioning used jet engines that work even better and run on JP5 which is probably cheaper than gas. You’d have to mount it next to your wife’s car and run a chain drive in thru a hole in the door. As a matter of fact, there’s a slew of applications you could use a jet engine for…like weeding the garden and driveway, getting rid of annoying dogs and cats, heating your house or shop, leaf lowing and burning, etc. I’m sure the guys here could help think up even a bunch more!

when I was growing up a neighbor had a truck engine for his band saw. was a huge one, maybe 30” or so. . . driven by a flat belt from a skid mounted engine
