Here is a table that i made for the client’s children to do homework on. Legs & stretchers are glued poplar (1 1/2”), top is 2 sheets laminated birch with poplar trim. Joinery is biscuits and pocket holes. The finish is shellac covered with a glaze made from BLO and artist’s oils, topcoat is rubbed polyurethane for durability. I designed it as i went and think it came out pretty well.

This is a very nice Desk for the Design on the Fly.
I may have to do something like that for my boy for his Arts and Crafts and homework…
he’s got a Small Round table we bought him a few years back and he just turned 8 this month and he’s kinda outgrowing it, So i may have to build a big boy table for him.

Indeed. Solid build, nice finish. That table is sure to get a lot of use. Well done!
