Did this board over my Christmas break from work. Second attempt at a “diagonal” glue-up, the first didn’t go well because the notch wasn’t quite even. I tried to cut it with the dado stack and I think I had some board lift during the cut. This one I just did with the fence and a standard blade, rotating 90 degrees and making multiple passes while raising the blade until the cuts intersected.

Of all the boards I have done, I think I like this the best so far. Need to do another with contrasting diamonds.

That looks really nice.
I never get tired of that design.

Nice tight glue-up,
Steve

Thanks guys. Spalm, the first failed diagonal glue up was your staggered steps 3d board (cheese sized as a learning experiment). I had it dry fit pretty well, but once I started the glue up I lost track of what came from and whent to where and all hell broke loose. I set it aside for a few days, I’ll go back to it and see if it’s fixable at some point.

5 stars for the pattern and another 5 stars for pulling it off!

Beautiful, looks it might be a fabric pattern from the ‘30s. It would make a great top for a small table, too.
