I have often found it difficult to find just the right gift for my parents for Christmas. Each year I try to find something different to make them that is one of a kind. My Dad served in the Army in WW II and in the Korean War so I wanted to do something to honor that service. I did this on my scroll saw. It took me about 8 hours to cut this emblem. I used 1/2” oak for the scrolled artwork and 3/4” on the frame. The Army emblem is approx. 8” x 10”. I used a piece of dark green mirrored plexi glass behind the emblem as a background. The brass is black brass with a green anodized brass plate behind it. My Dad loved it.
