I got a new big screen TV for the living room and needed something to put it on. In talking with my wife neither of us wanted to hang it on the wall and we didn’t want a huge wall unit set up. So we decided to keep it simple. It took me 10 days start to finish to complete this project. Doing a finished interior took extra time or I would have had it done sooner. This was my first attempt at making cut for glass doors so that took a little extra time also. I measured the DVD cases and designed the drawers to allow for two rows end to end for max storage capacity. With four kids we have accumulated quite a few movies over the years. I made all of the shelves inside adjustable for versatility. I didn’t want the TV to scratch the finish on the top so I ordered some 1/4” beveled glass from a local shop. This unit is made from cherry laminate and hardwood cherry. The stain is Red Mahogany and I put 5 coats of clear lacquer on it. All in all I was very happy with the results. Thanks for looking.
