Built this outdoor pub table this summer to replace a cheap glass patio set.

I took Steve Ramsay’s outdoor redwood table design and scaled it down to a pub table size. I preferred the octagonal shape rather than round, so I left as-is.

Added a pool-side drink tray and 2 small side tables as well.

Wood is thermally treated ash with spar urethane finish. Really beautiful stuff when it’s finished – was recommended as a good less expensive option for outdoor furniture.

Nice looking outdoor table! Haven’t ever worked with the thermally treated wood, so I’m curious to see how it holds up to the elements.

I have been looking for something like that for my patio. Great looking design. I may have to put one of these on my build list. Thanks for sharing.

Where do you get thermo treated wood?

Have your say...
