Some friends of our got married in August this past year and my wife and I decided to make gifts instead of buying them. She made an apron and I made a serving tray. I copied the design of the tray I made for my wife. This time, I didn’t use any stain. The base is red oak plywood. The sides are solid red oak, and the short sides with the handles came from drawers that I picked up off the side of the road. I’m not sure what it is, but I really like it. I added miter keys for strength using some dark wood.
