Very nice, I’d like to see the spalted set mounted on the Commander.

I’m inspired…I can just see explaining to my wife that I need to buy a 1911 so I can make some cool grips too…

woodchips- The second set was made from spalted pecan. I like them better as well, the only problem is I did not use a hardner first and once i was finished I noticed a nice long crack running down the length. I have another set of scales I plan on remaking them..

I’ve always wanted to try that. Seems to me that if you use the right wood and take time to fit the grips to your hand, you can’t help but support a great shooting position.
Looks phenomenal!

Very nice looking pair of grips. Either one would look great.
