I finally applied the finish to this continuous arm windsor chair that I am giving to my Mom. You can see pictures of this chair in its natural state under my other projects. The finish is three coats of milk paint, Salem Red followed by 2 coats of Pitch Black, then boiled linseed oil, then wipe-on poly, then mahogany Briwax. I buffed and rubbed the chair between each coat of milk paint with a grey scotchbrite pad. Now all I have to do is get it from Pennsylvania to Nashville, TN… and move it out of my own family room.

I love Windsors and this one is exceptional! I wish I had a son or daughter who would make me one. (I’ll never live long enough to acquire that much skill.) Are you available for adoption? ;-)
