The other day I saw a posting from another LJ who made one of these from a couple of 2×4. It looked interesting so I did a quick Google and came up the “plans” for this one.
The plans were in metric. I did not bother to convert and switched my brain out of imperial measurements. That was more of a challenge than building the puzzle.
It was fun and quick and made from scrap. This is pretty rough . . . but it works.
I think I have found some Christmas gifts.

Nice. My nephews would like these. Do you still have the link for the plans?

Very cool. My father loves these puzzles, I should make one. Do you still have the link for the plans?

Would anyone be interested in a SketchUp model of this burr puzzle? I zipped one up because it looks like a good idea for a gift. I drew it based on 3/4” thick stock but it could be rescaled easily to any size.
I’ll e-mail the SKP file to anyone who wants it.

These are great. i have made a few of these as gifts. I like using contrasting woods for the ones I sell and give as gifts.
