here’s a bowl i made out of a maple burr i got about 4 years ago finaly got down to the bottom of that pile of bowl blankes i have been hording for years ,this one has a claro walnut rim it measures 7.5 by 6.5 wide with wall thikness of.025 and finnished with gun stock oil about 4 wipe on coats then a coat of bee’s wax this type of turning requires sharp tools witch means frequent sharpinings . a bitchin’ peice of wood—michaeljon,woodworker

newbie here …what’s the difference between a burr and a burl ? I’d never heard the term burr applied to wood until I joined this site . Beautiful turning no matter what you call it though !
