I built this federalist style oval side table a couple of years ago. I will post a picture of the finished table after I find one… The first picture is of the first dry-fit. The apron was built using poplar with a cherry veneer. The oval apron was built with 5 layers of ‘bricks’ (an oval with 12 segments, offset), the oval was then sanded smooth and covered with the veneer. the oval was then cut and tenons were made to fit into the legs.
