Canning Cupboard

After a great growing season and lots of canning getting put away, we began running out of storage space. I planned the cabinet in Sketchup and started the build. We knew that it was going to be a painted piece for the start, so I used poplar for the frame and pre-primed ply for the panels. The 5 sliding drawers will hold 245 pints, 180 quarts or any combination of each. My shop has roll down plastic sheeting to protect my tools, 1500 CFM filtered induction fan, exhaust opposite side of building so that I am able to spray paint, poly or stain safely. This paint went on like a dream, it is a Waterborne Alkyd by Richards and has cured solid. Drawer fronts are chalkboard paint so that labeling the contents is easy.

The cupboard has a door as well, just waiting on the wife to decide on hardware.

Beautiful cabinet and awesome canning, professional. I have been using plastic storage bins that hold the containers and stack them in the garage, your cabinet is fantastic, love the idea of the chalk fronts!

Looks nice. I was going to suggest doors but it sounds like you have that covered.
Well done.
