I made a few rubber band guns as Christmas presents. Two for my youngest daughters and 2 for my nephews. They were a huge hit! Yes, there are parts for 5 guns in the second picture. I had to make one for myself for protection. I used Poplar, Red Oak, Hard Maple and some EcoWood™ Ash (Thermally Modified) for the side plates. A very fun project.

Very nice and fun project. I bought some plastic ones years ago for my brother-in-law, myself and some friends. We had a blast with them. They don’t look near as nice as the ones you made. Did you use some plans or design them yourself. I would love to make some for my brother-in-law and me again.

Youtube has hundreds of guns to choose from. Just search for “rubber band gun.”

Here is the YouTube link for the one I built:

What, no pearl handle grips, what is the world coming too? (-: Seriously, very cool and nice variety.

Grandparents got some for the kids, they would not put them down.

Nice job

I didn’t think about YouTube. I should have. Have you seen the videos of some of the cool rubber band Gatling Guns people have made out of wood?

Single rubber band…they work great. Multiple rubber bands and I can’t get them to fire one at a time. My tolerances might be off a bit from the plans. If you have time to work on the small pieces, you could probably get it to fire one rubber band at a time when you load multiple rubber bands. It shoots straight and very accurate, so setting up targets is a lot of fun for the kids.

Great, for others, the plans or blueprints as the YouTube poster calls them can be found via the two links the YouTube posters provides in their comments
