This is a two sided maple chopping block for my wife. I was asked to make a large and an extra large pair of maple chopping blocks to match the big old one my wife has used for 41 years. After they were completed I had this piece extra. The wife asked if I could make her a two sided chopping block. I made it the same on both sides and them made a cradle to hold it. We love it. You guest it I now have two MORE requests for Christmas gifts. Maple chopping blocks are as safe as plastic and safer as the get older because of the deep cuts in plastic are hard to get clean. And oh, by the way maple looks great. The size is 2” x 8” X 16”.

I really like this block. It looks old school, like the big old butchers block, only shelf size. Beautiful shape and design.

“a two sided chopping block” haha, reminds me of my old baseball days my coach would always tell a young guy to go get him “a bucket of curveballs”.....i’m sorry, it was just funny as i read it cuz i thought to myself well don’t all of em have two sides? anyways, really clean design ‘n execution! same as all your other work…
