Made some boxes too big. I didn’t have anything for lids and was doing a craft show the following day.
Saw the shaker serving tray posted recently and thought – “That’ll work.”
Here’s my take; one walnut with curly maple – one curly maple. I attached the handels with Miller Dowels. Both trays are lined with burgundy velvet and finished with danish oil. They sold quickly.

Splendid idea to cover your shortcomings. They are looking so beautiful. Fixing the handle with dowels is a good idea. Very nice. What are the dimentions?
