After a trip to Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial, my 12 year old son decided to take up woodcarving. I had tried a couple years ago, but I just didn’t have the eye for it. I started him on the first project I did- a dove. Over the span of a weekend, he did about a half dozen to start “An army of doves ”. Recently, his class had to bring homemade gifts to the local convent for the nun’s bingo night. The original pattern had the doves on a cross, so he brought these in.

Nice job. I can tell he`s a son a father can be proud of.
He appears to have a knack for the craft.
Thanks for posting.
