I’ve been very fortunate to have a good relationship with a local micro brewery. I’ve had the opportunity to redesign both their bar and tasting room (posted here http://lumberjocks.com/projects/105410), and their tap handles (here http://lumberjocks.com/projects/107903). So for Christmas, I made the owner a display box for his growler and tasting glasses. I carved a picture of the owner taken as he was working in his new brewery last year.
A word of unsolicited advice for my Lumberjock friends who use their love of woodworking to make money – build relationships, not clients. The money will come, but developing strong friendships around your community is something that cannot be replaced with a large bank account.
God bless and happy new year…
