Doesn’t that affect the radiator’s ability to radiate?

It shouldn’t mess with the heat. I’ve made 100’s of covers for baseboard radiators, like the old school covers made for tall radiators. Mine have punched aluminum front panels. I leave the aluminum back in place. Not a single complaint, not even in my own home. I’m sure Gilp’s would simply draw air up and out.
But I don’t keep fish in them…
