Asian style dovetail box

This is a QSWO box with a claro walnut top, legs and matching place mat i guess you can call it. none of the pictures will show it but the bottom of the box is made of slate.

Like the way you have placed the box on a pedestal which gives it a much more refined look than if it was just the box. The combination of woods works well together and the variety of the joinery shows off your craftsmanship.

The box is beautiful. The wood is beautiful.
Looks like a little bit Nippon and a little bit Balinese – just what I feel.

It’s a very nice box and it looks greatly executed although I couldn’t help but laugh at Derek’s comment. Those who follow me will understand. :o)

The box is sweet and the Walnut has some gorgeous grain in it ! Great job : )

-- When did quiet and quite become the same word ? I'm guessing about the same time as your and you're did.
