My son brought me a burl from a tree he cut down. This is the first raw burl I have had, I cut it up the best I could as it hard to figure how to get good pieces out of it. These are two maple burl turnings which were quite an adventure in turning.

Look fantastic! Love working with Burls, you never know what you will find inside! Drying is a problem, some burls take years to dry. I have cut into some that had metal inside, a bullet, and barb-wire inside. Nice job!
