After making the 11” x 17” cuttiing board for my wife, I decided to use some of the leftover wood to make some mini loaf cutting boards for some of our friends in the neighborhood. I decided on doing 3 different patterns made from walnut, ash, & a little purpleheart. Ech mini cutting board measures about 5” x ” 9” x 1” tall. After treating them with mineral oil several times, I finished them off with a mineral oil/beeswax mixture.

The last picture is a smaller (by one strip) cutting board I made from the leftover strips after assembling the 3 main patterns.

My wife then baked loaves of banana bread to acompany the cutting boards. Now that it is day after Christmas… we’ve finally got enough time to deliver them. Happy Holidays!!

Great looking cutting boards—and even better looking loaf! (Now you’re making me hungry….....!)
