I decided to use some woods in my shop for something other than game calls. So I decided to make a jewelry box for my sister in law. Partly because she is a great girl for putting up with my brother AND his family for sooooo long, but mainly because my brother is a Florida Gator football fan and I am a Georgia Bulldawg ( The Gators whooped us AGAIN this year) so now HE has to fill it up. I dont get mad I get even

Beautiful box. I’m sure your sister in law will love it. I love the contrasting woods you used. What kind of wood is the top of the box?

The top is walnut Christina. I will get some more photos done later, I am still trying to figure out the photo tent. For some reason the legs ( padauk) are way too dark in the photo. I am also building one for my mother that is bubinga, cocobolo and curly maple. Same reason too, my dad is a Georgia Tech fan ROTL

Very nice project. At least Georgia is having a much better season than my beloved VOLS. Go SEC.

Ouch, hate to be a Vol or Auburn fan right now. Wish I could say I feel your pain, but if it were that bad I may have to shoot myself in the foot
