OK I finally did it -- made a Cube in a Cube

I know this is a pretty simple and quick project, but for reasons most of you probably understand, I just never got around to it. Well, I finally did. Made two of them actually. The first one is made from a block of spalted maple and the second one is black walnut. Both were finished with BLO.

Nice. How’d you do it? I haven’t seen this before.I’ve done the arrow thru the heart but not this.
