Like many other of you, I love to join my hobby of woodworking with family time whenever possible. A big part of that is passing on some of the woodworking/hands on skills to my 3 year old son. So for Christmas this year, I built him a simple pine workbench that’s a mini version of what I have, which he loves.

It’s made from construction grade pine 2×4 stock, laminated 15” wide top (the same width as my planer… how convenient!). I also installed my first woodworking vise on it, which served me well for a couple years before upgrading to my current workbench. The pegboard back give him some space to store his newly acquired tools.

So far it’s been used for stacking cutoffs from my last project, but hopefully we’ll do some simple projects as he gets older.

Wonderful, what a lucky son to have you as a dad.
