this is the knotty alder night stand that im working on right now, it wont be done till’ sometime next week, because i still have to fasten the top on, make a couple of adjustments, put some pulls on the drawer and cabinate door, and then put some sanding sealer and laquer on it. the finished product should be on next week or so… also, i updated our progress on me and my dad’s credenza, so check it out. its on page eight in the projects list.

Love the wood and agree about those knots. Some people stay away from them… personally, I love em. Beaut of a piece. Don’t forget to let us see it after the finish.

the finish will be two coats of sanding sealer, and two coats of laquer. im pretty sure it will turn out pretty nice. i finished the alder box with the same finish. i too look for knots before i square up the board or anything, i love the look of em’.
