Hi!
I’m currently following woodworking classes and just completed my first project 2 weeks ago.

It went pretty well, except for the decorative part at the bottom which took 4 1/2 hours to complete :-) Learned a lot and had plenty of fun.

Thanks.

Great Looking Chest. What was the wood that was used?

When I choose the design for the decorative bottom, my instructor told me: “You’ll have some fun with that!” He was right! Since it’s all done with a plain old 1/2” chisel, I learned the hard way all about wood fiber directions :-)

Thanks guys.

Nice design and overall form. Can you add a couple more photos? close-ups?

Nice job. Are you leaving it unfinished?

I plan to take a finishing course in about a month so I’ll do that after.
