this is my second set of rings i made for Christmas this year…made them the same way as i have before but i only used walnut and maple with one ring being mahogany…so far most people like the mahogany the most but its the hardest to work with…the grain likes to raise as it gets bent. Finished with a spit coat of shellac and then formbys tung oil and buffed with a wax.

The ring in the pic by its self is the best one i made so far…its the most even in thickness all the way around and looks pretty good….still trying for the $150 etsy equality but still not really there yet…maybe in a few more months xD

Very nice. Are these turned on a lathe?

nope lol :) I don’t really have any of the big more expensive tools right now so these got shaped by hand with a dremel and some sand paper…each one took about 45 mins to do….I hope to change that with any gift cards I get this year :P

Looks great, just tried making one with the woodshaving/superglue method.
