So, the old fireplace wreath died and I couldn’t find anything that I liked. And it needed to be large 20+ inches. I got a foam ring, covered it with sheetrock tape as hot glue wouldn’t stick to the green, powdery foam, and made a wreath. It’s made of curls of spruce and walnut planed off a 2×4 and a thick, scrap piece of walnut. I hot glued the curls on in what seemed to be an infinitely tedious job. One screw in the back and a piece of wire to hang it and voila, home made wood curls wreath. I’ll make a thin plywood box and screw it on the inside back of it to hold it in place and store it after the holidays. Next year maybe I’ll add some type of other decorative parts to it.
Merry Christmas everyone!
