Palletroni Pizza

Yes, I made a pepperoni pizza out of pallet wood. I call it a Palletroni Pizza! I made this for the Pallet Up Cycle Challenge hosted by Sterling Davis.

It’s made from poplar slats that I cut off a pallet about a year ago. I glued up boards to make the crust. The edges of the crust were cut at a 45 deg angle on the bandsaw and shaped with a sander. I used Minwax stain to give it some color.

I used red food coloring to color wood glue (pizza sauce) and added some basil and oregano so it would smell like a pizza. I used sawdust for cheese and painted red wooden discs for pepperoni. I sprayed the top with spray adhesive and sprinkled more spices on it to enhance the aroma. (I also made the chef’s hat from card stock and paper towels.)

Thanks for looking at my goofy wooden pizza! Hope it made you smile a little. :o) Steve…

Steve

You are one crazy woodworker that I like here on LJ. I really like the pizza. Maybe I can make one for my favorite pizza place. Theyʻd get a kick out of it.

Stay crazy and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I was going to put a table I made from pallets, but this is so unique, cool, and hilarious, that I’m not sure I want to compete with it. Nicely done.

Hey, you need to enter it. It’s not a competition…anyone who enters something gets put into a random drawing for prizes, so everyone has a chance to win something. I told Sterling mine is just for fun.

Steve,

That’s really creative, but the next time could you add sausage, onions, bacon, artichokes, mushrooms, black olives, sun-dried tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, jalapenos, extra cheese, and some more pepperoni, please? We only think it’s real pizza if it is loaded! ;-)

Great pizza and video, Steve! It did make me smile :-) I’m working on my pallet project. Mustang, post your table! The more, the merrier!
