Yes, I made a pepperoni pizza out of pallet wood. I call it a Palletroni Pizza! I made this for the Pallet Up Cycle Challenge hosted by Sterling Davis.
It’s made from poplar slats that I cut off a pallet about a year ago. I glued up boards to make the crust. The edges of the crust were cut at a 45 deg angle on the bandsaw and shaped with a sander. I used Minwax stain to give it some color.
I used red food coloring to color wood glue (pizza sauce) and added some basil and oregano so it would smell like a pizza. I used sawdust for cheese and painted red wooden discs for pepperoni. I sprayed the top with spray adhesive and sprinkled more spices on it to enhance the aroma. (I also made the chef’s hat from card stock and paper towels.)
Thanks for looking at my goofy wooden pizza! Hope it made you smile a little. :o) Steve…
