“That’s Beautiful!” my wife said as I handed her this pen, The first in a series of Hawaiian woods. (Thanks for trading for some of your local stuff for mine Harold!)
This mango wood from Hawaii, has dark and light wavy grain (like water flowing over rocks, or a Van Gogh sky)... though it’s not quite as delicious with oranges;)
This is the 9th item in my 30 day project/challenge
& auction.

What a beautiful wooden pen it is. Mango wood is great.
Box makers in India use mango wood to make plain and carved boxes.

Wonderful pen Scott, I enjoy working with Mango a great deal. I am completing a bar top(s) constructed out of 2 large live edge mango slabs that will be the extended family to this beautiful pen, I’ll post a picture here when I get the counters completed.
