What am I?

This is my version of a radiator cover / night stand. I don’t care for the look of the fully enclosed radiator covers and I don’t have room for a full night stand next to the bed, so I came up with a bit of a compromise. I also wanted something to help reflect some of the heat back into the room as I live in an old house with horse hair plaster walls that suck up the heat behind the radiator, thus the foil insulation. This project is made out of oak and ash reclaimed from the local pallet company.

Toasty idea! Very clever! I think this qualifies as the “Green Project” of the day!

I grew up in a house just like that and the wall do get mighty cold, great idea and follow through. You might want to put a rail or something across where the person in the bed will be laying, those registers can get pretty hot.

Creativity is the most time comsuming part of a project that never been done before. You hit a home run on this one. Great project. Reclaimed wood. Never been done before. completed project before winter comes. I think that’s a home run…
