This ceiling is made from Lithuanian Pine and Douglas Fir. The main field is made of V-jointed tongue and groove Lithuanian Pine with the center most pieces Douglas Fir. The entire pattern only requires one basic cut, a 45° miter with a groove cut into the mitered edge with a 45° chamfer to match the V-joint of the pattern.
The entire ceiling used scraped boards headed to the landfill and were used as my solution to a badly cracked plaster ceiling which was beyond repair.

Nice design and rehab on the ceiling. I can’t imagine fitting all those pieces while standing on a ladder, oui my aching back.

Good job. That would take me a month of Sunday’s to figure out all the measurements of all the cuts. I think this looks a lot better than looking at a cracked plaster ceiling all day long.
