This Myrtle wood box is a box I made for my oldest granddaughter.I intended to make this over since I felt it had to many defects ,but since I’ve been a recliner jockey due to an injury to my leg, I’m not able to stand long enough to start over right now. This box was inspired by Gary Rogowski’s Jasmine Jewelry Box but it’s a far from hitting the mark of excellence of Gary’s piece.

Jim,

Gary is a pretty high mark to shoot for. Looks like you did a good job. Next one can be better. I have a shop stool that I rest my butt on. Not thar expensive, Has a padded seat? LOL!

Yep! But it helps when I’m setting up the cut? Or saying, “what the….. did I do now?”

Thanks Bob ,Yep the Myrtle wood is the best part of it. the big box joints were a little tougher than I thought. I’m sure you can knock them out much quicker that I did.

Jim that is a good looking box. No reason your Granddaughter won’t be thrilled to have it – it will be a Family Heirloom that she will probably treasure the rest of her time. Well done, and heal quick.
