Project Information

This Myrtle wood box is a box I made for my oldest granddaughter.I intended to make this over since I felt it had to many defects ,but since I've been a recliner jockey due to an injury to my leg, I'm not able to stand long enough to start over right now. This box was inspired by Gary Rogowski's Jasmine Jewelry Box but it's a far from hitting the mark of excellence of Gary's piece.

Thanks Bob ,Yep the Myrtle wood is the best part of it. the big box joints were a little tougher than I thought. I'm sure you can knock them out much quicker that I did.

Jim that is a good looking box. No reason your Granddaughter won't be thrilled to have it - it will be a Family Heirloom that she will probably treasure the rest of her time. Well done, and heal quick.

Jim, you did a nice job on the box but the way you joined it is way cool. I kind of like that look. Maybe I can use that in my pirates chest I've been trying to build for the last 2 years.
