I saw a box with this banding design on the web a while back and knew I had to make one … This has been a very popular box and is a great way to use up smaller pieces of veneer.
The box is 9” x 6” x 3”, 1/2” baltic birch ply. The veneers are Birds Eye Maple, Curley Maple, and Walnut for the small bands.
The box has Brusso hinges with a hand rubbed lacquer finish and is lined with velvet with the recipients initials embroidered inside the lid.

Thanks for looking, Comments are always welcome.

Paul

Beautiful looking box. Nice design work, even if it isn’t yours.

Very nicely done and quite attractive! I really like the velvet lining and personal touch of having the recipient’s initials embroided.

What a beautiful box! Lately, the boxes have really come out of the “woodwork”. There is going to be some really happy ladies this Christmas!
