Project Information

First project post built for first grandchild. I purchased a pattern and made a few alterations to it. The main body is two pieces of 1 1/2 birch glued together, the legs are also birch. The mane, tail, saddle and bridle are walnut and the rocking base is white oak. The legs are attached with dowels going through the body ad then locked in place with pocket screws.

Best looking rocking horse I've seen in awhile. Where did you get the plan?

The way I see it, you start out on a rocking horse and end up in a rocking chair. Enjoy the horse as long as you can.
