Project Information

I was approached to build a larger version of my Master Sergeant stripe box that had enough room for a uniform as well as the usual smaller stuff. The result was the design above.
I stayed with similar construction as the older ones, cut the stripes from a pattern and attached them together with Dominoes. In addition to an extra hinge for strength, I also added hooks to keep the front door closed.
To make room for additional medals and such, I added a smaller raised panel about 3" above the back. This allowed the uniform to hang free but not be bunched up at the bottom.
Built from cherry with medium stain and black painted edges. Thankfully I was able to arrange a local pickup.
