My 3year old calls it the heart table but its more like the heartache table to me after all sanding…
The base is made from Beech and the top is Redwood. The top was as green as it gets and needed a lot of attention from the chainsaw, router, belt sander and orbital sander. The sheds a mess! i have 13 Mahogany dovetail keys in her, i feel a darker wood for these keys would look better but I notice from different angles the Mahogany looks dark or light depending on the angle. I carved all the way around the edge of the Redwood top using a gouge I really like the texture it gave. The table is sanded from 80grit to 800 grit and has 4-5 coats of spray on poly. It took a lot of time but it does bring a smile to face every now and again. I hope you like her

I think all of your efforts were worth it. It’s a beautiful table! Very interesting to look at. Nice work!
