My daughter gets a lot of books as presents so i decided to make some bookends based off her favorite movies. I used shag bark hickory for the back and bottom for its look and weight and walnut for the figure silhouettes. I think they turned out nice and hope she loves them for xmas.

Sweet! Our local movie theatre used to have large silhouettes like these up on the wall which were backlit for great effect. What a great present!

Dude, you could SERIOUSLY make some money moving those bookends into an online shop. There are probably a lot of people who would pay decent money to get their hands on some of these! The likenesses are spot on and they are really just quite cool to have. Hell, I’d be willing to commission a set of these myself!
