As everyone on this site knows a challenge is normal when woodworking. Another typical challenge of a woodworker is that everyone you know that is not a woodworker, likes to test your skills. (ie: a lamp). My uncle mentioned during thanksgiving that he would like to have a lamp built to match his current one. He bought his 35 plus years ago and cannot get another one. He just wanted something similar and did not expect it to be a match. I did not have the lamp here to make a pattern, just 1 pic and some measurements. This is what i came up with. It is red oak and walnut. I do not like turning stuff this large and heavy because i really do not have a good enough lathe to do so. I decided to do this as a surprise christmas gift. Fyi the last picture shown is at his house that he texted me.
Thanks for looking
