Hi Lumberjocks, I haven’t been on board for a while. This is one of my new projects in association with another wood craftsman. We both contributed towards putting these chess sets together. We custom make them to individual specification in different woods of the world.

The knights are outstanding. I really like the the contrasting selection of woods you have used.

Looks like the classic Staunton style chess pieces. Can’t go wrong with that style.
Very impressive.

What wood is used?
Are they weighted pieces?
How tall are the pieces.
What size squares?

It is among the best I have seen.

Thank you all for your comments.

hhhopks. Yes this is classic Staunton style chess pieces. I used Wild Olive and Tamboti for one of these sets. The other one in the box was from Boxwood and Macassar Ebony. We use lots of different woods in the making of the pieces and the boards.
All the pieces are weighted and the size of the squares depends on the size of the set. Thank you for your interest.
