Just finished a basement remodel for a customer. They requested a built in shelving unit for a portion of the wall that had a step-back. This is what I came up with. Thanks for looking…

I really like this. My plan for after Christmas is to build a similar project for my study / music room.

Beautiful job. What materials did you use in the construction? Face frames look to be MDF?

EWJ,

I did use MDF for the box and frame. Since I was painting it, and the customer was on a bit of a budget, I went with 3/4” MDF sheets and ripped them to the sizes I needed. I really like how MDF takes paint, so I was very pleased with the finished product.

The doors were made from oak.

what sort of price did you put on it ?
I done some built-ins myself always hard do get the price right
