strong rough box, treasured memories

This is another of the jeffswildwood classics. I built this box several years ago to protect a Christmas tree my Mom made back in the 1960’s when she took ceramics classes. She gave me the tree several years ago and now she has passed away. Getting out the tree once again means it’s Christmas time. I had to make sure nothing ever happens to the tree so it could be passed down to future generations so this box was build. I used heavy grade plywood and screws and glue to be sure. Not much sanding just a staining and polyurethane. My goal was protection. So it’s a rough box protecting precious memories. Thanks for looking.

That’s a real nice multipurpose trunk. I like how you turned it into a cat bed until needed again. I have 2 cats that snuggle like that. It’s so sweet when they do that. Merry Christmas. Oh, I have that tree too from back in the day. Always loved it and nice to see it lit in your home toom

Thanks for the comments guys, Vicki, I light it every year, my wife sets up a village around it. Richard, better believe it, the big grey guy is Prancer, tips the scale at a little over 10 pounds and not a bit of fat! Thanks for looking.

Great trunk, Jeff. I have a similar tree made by Mom. :-)
Thanks for sharing.
